After the death of Coleson (Coulston) T. Harper his widow
Martha G. Tucker Harper moved to Dyer County, Tennessee
with all of her children except for the oldest daughter,
Maudevilla M. Harper.

When first moving to Dyer County, Tennessee
Martha G.
Tucker Harper
and her youngest son Joe moved in with one
brother of
Martha G. Tucker Harper and her other two
children, Emma and George, moved in with another brother
of
Martha G. Tucker Harper. The families of both brothers
lived in Dyer County, Dyersburg, Tennessee.

By 1870 George Harper was living on his own. George set up
residence in Dyer County, Newbern, Tennessee. His mother
Martha Harper, his sister Emma Harper, and his brother Joe
Harper
were all living with him.

On October 16, 1878
Joseph W. (Joe) Harper married Fannie
Rudder
who was born July 1858 in Dyer County, Tennessee.
They set up residence in Dyer County, RoEllen, Tennessee.

In September 1879
Joe and Fannie Harper had a daughter
Lucy E. Harper.

By 1880 Martha Harper was living with the family of her son,
Joseph W. (Joe) Harper.

While the family of
Joseph W. (Joe) Harper was still living in
Dyer County, RoEllen, Tennessee,
Joe and Fannie Harper had
another child after 1880, a son, named
"Marvin" H. Harper,
Sr.
born on March 18,  1883.
